10bil vs 30k?

For context I’m applying for a job in Charleston SC that would pay me ~30k a year.. the average apartment is 2200/mo or 26k a year… if you can see where this is going that leaves me with less than 5k a YEAR or every other expense other than rent. Food, utilities, car payments and gas, god forbid leisure to make life worth living. — didn’t help that I googled the company and they proudly claim they made their investors 10 BILLION last year… I’ve been through 4 years of school for this? Extremely offended but not surprised 🙁
