So I'm a stage hand. But today I was on stage door.
My duties had ended but was expected to wait for a truck that wasn't ours. My duties end when the show ends. But I was asked to help clean stage. Fine its 5 minutes.
THEN I get told to open the outside door n let the truck in
15min later in the freezing cold nothing. Closed the door n went to my manager. He told me to wait even though I'm back in at 8am it's 11pm.
Don't worry come in later…
I replied my gf was waiting from 10.30 (when I was supposed to leave) I know shows run long but making me do 14h plus just coz is a dick move. I'm not the manager on salary I need sleep mate.
Was guna walk anyway my face told him what's what
No attitude here just low tolerance for bs.

I'm only on UK minimum wage UNLESS its a load out there I get extra money. makes the long hours worth it. And waiting for a truck is technically load out.
