I’m currently a pizza driver and looking for something higher paying. Current job keeps saying they’ll change me to full time (slight pay bump and hours priority) but that was two months ago and every time I bring it up it’s always “they’re working on it.” Can’t afford to quit either.
So I spent the entire month of June applying to jobs in my free time and nothing to show for it. I’ve had a few interviews that I thought went well but no follow ups. These aren’t even high skill jobs I’m applying for; dishwasher, front desk clerks, car washers, ect…. But time and time again I get notifications that my application is rejected or I hear nothing back.
Even had unprofessional interviews where the interviewer was late or never showed up on schedule. There’s an obvious want for people to work, I see signs all over town about “We’re Hiring” but the wages are less than what I’m making now or I’m not qualified for.
It’s frustrating as hell I want to scream! I just want to make a living wage and not work someplace that will make me want to die. Those shouldn’t be hard demands to fill!!
