I just started working at this erectile dysfunction clinic. Theres so much wrong with the company it's genuinely unbelievable. Theres no benefits of any kind, and they don't provide paid sick days at all. You don't accrue nor are they given. Illegal in my state yet they always dodge the question. The supervisor of our clinic “the regional manager of the NW division” is literally just a tech that works at the Utah headquarters. We are TOLD to violate HIPAA, and there is no HIPAA privacy notice available to patients anywhere, despite them being forced to sign an agreement stating that they understand we are able to provide such.
I'm trans. Their website says they only hire men. I'm not a man. They know this. I am misgendered by patients on a daily basis.
It is a mandatory 6 day work week, and overtime is after 40, and time and a half. The supervisor I mentioned doesn't communicate with anyone at all, and I have yet to receive a W-4 despite working there for 2 weeks. I have never heard from payroll despite emailing them 3 times. My on-site supervisor, the lead technician, worked alone for 3 months with no help and was forced to guess at how to be a clinic manager, trainer, receptionist, and supply manager. He doesn't get benefits or sick time either. He was given a one dollar raise. One dollar. After 3 months alone. We typically see 2 patients at a time for 30 minute slots from 9am to 5pm, but people will just show up at random times because they have to drive so far and we're expected to do the treatment. The HQ call center CSD constantly fucks up our schedule, and just this past Thursday they deleted every appointment after 12:30 and we were expected to “roll with the punches”
We do not get lunch breaks. We do not get ANY breaks. I'm in a tough spot financially so I can't afford to quit and go somewhere else, and one of our techs just got hired at a GI clinic with full benefits and starting at 27 an hour. I'm fucking tired.
