I started in April of 2003. This month is my 19th year anniversary. The past 11 years I put up with a lot of shit at work from a dicknose boss, because I was raising my two sons as a single father. Now my sons are grown and I am finally in a financial place where I can quit. It's scary, but I'm glad I'm doing it. I met with my boss today at 4pm and submitted my letter of resignation, effective April 8, 2022. He thinks its a 2 week notice. He didn't realize its a 1 week notice. I didn't correct him. Plus I'm on approved leave next Thursday and Friday, going to ride down to Arizona Bike Week with my buddy and have a good time. So I'm actually only working 3 more days, haha. Fuck him. I'm fucking done. The pay is good, the benefits are good, I love my job, but the people suck and the work environment is toxic. I'm planning to take the rest of the year off to finish my Bachelors degree and hopefully go for my Masters. I had kids young, right out of high school. Guess my approach to life is ass backwards. I have faith in the future and am looking forward to the next chapter in life.
