So my dentist is a friend as well as the person who nags me about my teeth. 🙂 She has always had a busy office, and the dental hygienists are always pretty friendly. They rotated on a multi year scale. One would get hired, work there for some years, then leave and move on. Now? She can’t find any. I asked her why. She told me that she pays very well, (about 100k a year with bennies and such) but that all the hygienists want to work from an agency and have weird hours. She has to puzzle piece together a schedule to have a hygienist in for office hours. Do-able but time consuming and frustrating. Major issue is they just changed our commission plan last month, and i will make 50% less then i have ever made. -I saw a lawyer, they said i need to quit then they will fire off a letter “constructive dismissal ” for all the issues. Even if you made $60 dollars an hour, the only reason you're allowed to make that much by your employer is that the product you're helping to create, is worth at least Twice as much (per hour you've worked on it.) Answer me this: Why does your employer, the person who does basically nothing to actually create the product, get to decide how the fruits of your labor, are allocated? Why does he get a bigger share than the ones who actually did the work? Capitalism. The problem with work is Capitalism. The Solution is Democratic Socialism. My father works in a managing position for a pretty successful European company (let's call it A) that has rather recently been bought by a huge US compepitor (B). They integrated A into B as a subsidiary without changing the name or much at first (changing the name from just “A” to “A by B”) Now my father has not been required to learn the English language which is why he has just rudimentary understanding of this language which is why he came to me yesterday asking me for help translating some educational programs he was now required to do.
