Capitalism an economic system characterized by private or corporate ownership of capital goods, by investments that are determined by private decisions, and by prices, production, and the distribution of goods that are determined by competition in a free market Capitalize intransitive verb to gain by turning something to advantage – capitalize on an opponent's mistake When the presentation of capitalism is seen, it sounds so fair and good. When you look at one presentation of the root word “capitalize” you begin to question what is fair and good. Capitalists will insist it is right to turn something to an advantage and to capitalize on an opponent's mistake. Is it right to turn someone living in poverty to their advantage? Is it fair to capitalize on someone's disadvantages?

I texted him on Saturday when I noticed it. Radio silence. He texts me on the weekend for work stuff all the time, and in fact texted me earlier in the day that same Saturday (yesterday 3/5/22). The last conversation we had before the weekend he was complaining about his “lack of access to me” when he texts or calls me when I’m not at work (either home taking unpaid leave for my sick toddler or being sick myself, or just after work hours on weekdays and weekends). He won’t pay my penalties and fees unless forced to by some governing body, so I’m curious what recourse I have? I’m guessing none because laws in America favor and protect the corporate interest at the expense of the individual, but I figured I’d ask here. Is there a better/legal sub I should cross post in?
This ahole
People with so much disposable wealth they cannot spend it in multiple lifetimes are in fact not at all affected by any war. If they lose 90% of it, that mostly doesn't change. Am I missing something here, why are there people staying that this affects them too? It struck some corporations, sure, but corporations are not people and the capital owners will invest in hundreds of ventured anyways. A worker losing 1% to inflation has a greater impact than an oligarch losing 99% We are not in this together, we are left for dead to fight over scraps.
Time to break the chain of slavery
Should I just say f*** it?
About a year ago I was about to shoot myself and end it. This was mostly due to general depression, but the bigger factor was the dead end job I was working at for five years made me feel like I wasn't going anywhere in life. I was working as a manager for a restaurant for a toxic owner who only cared about themselves. Fast-forward to now and I work in the electrical trade for a decent company. I have a 401k, PTO and other benefits, however I'm still not happy! Everyone in the family and close friends talk about how proud they are of me & how I came such a long way! They don't understand that I don't feel like that at all and working in this trade is the same as working in a restaurant to me. I need to get out before this company locks in…
