I used to love this sub for NOBLE REASONS HERE but now it's full of POLITICALLY CHARGED INSULT. I feel like every second post I see is about how every second post is not the post the poster wants to see. Can't we get this sub back to the way it was indeterminate amount of time ago?

I’m sick of this job already
I have started a new job 3 months ago. The salary turned out to be better than I expected. I actually hold a phd in a different field and I couldn't find a job in my field, not in the academia as well because I don't wanna move to another country for a postdoc. Where I live, it is not possible to find an academic position if there's no postdoc experience in another country. This is my first “real” job after long time in university. I must say that the pay is naturally better than the academia salary but I don't even care about the money anymore. I'm quite heartbroken overall. Most of the people at work are treating me like I'm a piece of shit who doesn't know about anything. There's constant belittling, making fun and looking down. I'm not sure if they are aware of the way they…
I want to go to Uni but I need to submit a work reference from walmart.
Justice Mantra Personally Developed
I’ll continue to stay poised and quiet for survival, but understand we are not in a position to remain silent. Not my generation, not the ones prior, and not the ones to come. It’s important we call a spade a spade, because without doing so, we allow injustice to continue without repercussion. Despite conditioning and psychological attempts at conformism within a broken system, I choose regardless of potential spite from others, to fight for humanity’s freedom and prosperity towards a well rounded and valuable life lived for all. Just say no to anything that disrupts that standard of living. And see how they crawl.
So, in other words, capitalism sucks
McKee foods corporation is the owner of the little Debbie, drakes and sunbelt brands of snack cakes and cereal bars. It is a billion dollar corporation that sees billions in sales annually. Last week, everyone in the plant was informed that we are getting raises to the tune of around 40 cents, give or take a few pennies depending on your position. 40 cents. 40 freaking pennies. The cost for natural gas to heat my home each month has doubled since this time last year. The price of groceries has also nearly doubled. The price of gasoline has doubled. The cost of basic necessities has increased. The price of EVERYTHING has increased. And they give us 40 pennies and think that is sufficient. Anything under a $5 per hour raise would be INSULTING considering inflation and the increase in cost of living. This is absurd. McKee foods pays a LOT…
Why is it like this still?
Meaning the people who should be in management positions are often smear campaigned and made out to not be managers. Me for example, I should be a manager at any restaurant because I'm willing to do what's best for everyone even if it's against the rules. But I've debatably never been given the opportunity to even be a cook, always a dishwasher. When I ask managers to train me in management for obvious reasons they say I have to prove myself which is their way of suppressing my room for growth. It's a very controlling environment. It's best we just take all the general manager or whatever positions and settle for nothing less, and be ok with walking out of these positions just like we would a sales floor Meaning let's all apply for CEO, president, and general manager positions and bypass all the bullshit experience laws that re in…
