So me and my coworker who have each have over 22 years with the company and more seniority then all but 2 people out of 25. Were told we have to leave our offices that, after 8 separate moves finally are nice and functional by operations, and have to move to the two offices that no one on the admin side want. We were not given any options of picking one of the 6 offices but told we have to take these 2. While we fill disrespected we have no choice on moving, but here is the bad part. The one office is maybe 7×7 was a storage closet, they use for a desk and floating people, the roof has leaked causing drop down ceiling to collapse at lest 30 times over the past decade, along with the walls and carpeting being soaked thru, lord knows what is rotted out…

This is a serious question, I want to understand practically how you see this working out. On this sub I frequently see things that require the provision of labor referred to as being “human rights.” This includes things like healthcare, utilities, internet, housing, etc. These services don’t just exist by themselves in a vacuum. If a significant amount of healthcare providers agreed with the general views of this sub and decided not to work, how can healthcare be provided as a right? If a healthcare provider feels pressured to work, are they oppressed? If they choose not to work, are those in need of healthcare services oppressed?

Hi Anti-Work, long time lurker and comment leaver. I work in local news, specifically, I am a meteorologist. Sadly I’m only a weekend Met so three days a week I have to pretend to be a journalist (something I despise entirely) so I can have weather fun the other two. I’m wondering how many of you work or have worked in local news. The turnover is terrible. The pay is lol. The stress is getting bigger. What is your experience?? Also I would like to take this post and answer any questions I can from people who don’t work in local news but are curious to how the business works.

For context: where I live it's legal to work in a greenhouse from your 13th and I was 14 at the time My mom wanted me to have a job for a long time for money and experience and I wanted that too. Only options were working in a greenhouse or with a company that has been exposed with underpaying it's underage employees. When I started I was quite excited, although I needed to start with moving plants (which I absolutely despise now) I told my boss that I wasn't cut out for moving those heavy plants and he said he'd do something about it (but he didn't even after he saw in person I'm not really capable of doing it as I'm quite weak. Now, I understand he might have wanted to strengthen me but he wanted to reach a quota so it seems unlikely) Sometimes I got placed…

For the past 7 years, whenever I renew my apartment lease here in Houston, I get a text message or email from Ypsilanti Michigan 30 to 90 minutes after signing my lease regarding a possible job opportunity 1300 miles away… The opportunity in question is a profession that I've left three to four years ago… This event happens as if it is caused and effect! What mechanism is engaged to have the same repeated process year after year… I am considering toying with them the next time this event rolls around… Suggestions?

I just found a new job. My current contract states i need to give 4 weeks of notice. I requested that they let me go with 10 days notice and and they've just denied my request. So… i need some ideas. I was just gonna walk in with a vodka bottle in hand but that seems a bit boring,i want to go out in style,but at the same time dont want to do anyhing too drastic either. To give a little bit of information im a Night Porter in a relatively quiet hotel,my main responsibilities involve Fire safety walks around the building and cleaning after the bar staff. TLDR: Got new job,need ideas on how to get fired so i dont work my notice.
