Month: April 2022
At my company, a few people have left the company (well over 10 people). The rest of us have spoken about leaving too because of the overwork and poor job satisfaction, but a month ago, this new girl joined our company and changed our thought process. Managers, line-managers should quit because they failed us; they are there to ensure that we have what we need to do the job well. If they can't do that well, they should quit. Most of us have clocked-out mentally and do the bare minimum to get a paycheck whilst still working and enjoying each others company. Thanks Cindy!
Still a good news though
Conservatives think this sub is a deserving target of their ridicule, but it isn't. The true purpose of this sub, to end labor, has been the actual goal of cooperative society since we started handing berries back and forth. The fact that people don't understand that tells me all I need to know about them. Furthermore, people will never learn their lesson without consequences. Can we please try a little harder to make sure people experience consequences? I'm sick of giving sincere arguments to these morons. Don't cast your pearls before swine. Give the what they deserve.

The patron saint of this sub
The time I quit working at a CVS
I have needed Tuesdays off for therapy for about two years now, and when I submitted my application that was the only day I marked as unavailable, the rest of the week I put open availability. Stupidly, I was honest with my boss about why I needed my Tuesday and doubly stupid I told her my appointment time (early morning). It was Monday night, it was just me, her, and another associate closing. She asked my co-worker to come in Tuesday because we had a call out and she said she couldn't do it. My boss turned to me and told me “I know you can make it by 1pm, and if not I'm making it your responsibility to find someone to cover for you”. Cover for ME? Like I'm the one who called out right? I told her I flat out couldn't do it, and she just laughed and…
Do not faulter on your worth!
So i recently quit a job that was under paying me by $5.50/hr. I was working my local store (I'll leave the store unnamed for now) and I was working in a total of 4 departments. I had found my title was actually too be something called “Replenishment Manager.”. As the work I did, was under the job description of that title. That title paid $18+/hr. I was making $13.50. After making this discovery, and on a day I was being asked to both work the dairy truck, frozen truck and close and clean meat department. I stated that I would like to discuss my pay. The AM first statement was “we don't discuss pay.”. After adamantly stating that yes in fact we do and will she popped out the mouth “You are out on the sales floor, you hush!”. Afterwards, tried telling me she is on our side. I…
Dollar General
Is anyone else following the DG store manager on tiktok @alwaysmrsgrundel as sheâs exposing dollar general and has now been fired. i really hope this is how so many people will finally have their eyes opened to the facade of stores âbeing understaffedâ but they wonât allow managers to give more hours and all the horrible things theyâre doing to save their bottom line!!
I can’t stand my manager
I am not sure how I'm gonna put this all together so please hear me out Idk how to feel about my manager, he doesn't yell at me for making mistakes, he usually just talks to me casualy, he can be nice to me, but annoying. but he can make me uncomfortable in other ways as well, I feel as if I can't take a day off after I got promoted, because he complains, because we don't have enough people so he'd have to take my shift, but he never takes days off either so why should I complain? In February I requested a day off a week after valentines (because we were beyond busy and I needed a break) and he gave me crap for it because it was his weekend to watch his kids, now I have to also not take certain days off just so he can…
