The Parasitic Rich
They are parasites on society, and they have always been. They have a mental disease called greed, that makes them accumulate far more than they could ever possibly need. In the process of stealing everything they can, they cause the deaths of millions. Then, those polished turds claim that they are the best ever, and that the workers who make and run everything are the parasites. The gall. As if anyone as useless and entitled could possibly do anything without us. Throw their bull$#!7 right back in their faces. They love being passive aggressive, give it right back to them. Stop protecting the turds.
That's it. It's not some moral assessment on people who ask for help paying the mortgage so much as that arrangement is encouraged to be put into rental agreements for understandable reasons. However the laws governing those rental agreements set the expectation for a very exploitative relationship. Ex. “you don't wanna pay for someone else's mortgage” is not a saying for no reason. It's very immoral to have someone paying for your future housing security often for years and years only for them to be shit out of luck for their future housing. It wouldn't be much trouble to change housing rights laws so that everyone is always guaranteed good retirement housing or housing if disabled or just guaranteed housing (the only moral option tbh) but NOPE the law in the U.S. where I live was written by a small class of capitalist who really love to exploit working people…
As the title states, I just found out I was the only person in my small company to not be given a 5% cost of living increase. I’m privy to this info as a company admin and came across it while trying to administer benefits in our payroll software. There was one other employee that didn’t get the COL increase but instead received a 10% salary increase. My original thought was maybe I got skipped due to a decent pay increase I received last September, but nope. The other person they skipped the COL increase in lieu of a bump in overall salary also got the same pay raise as me but theirs was in Nov – two months after mine! Although I truly enjoy working with my direct boss, I had already been contemplating leaving due to an insane increase in my responsibilities and workload. I’m now doing not…
This is some bullshit.
I have been spending a lot of time with a very wonderful woman I recently met. She has literally made my life feel worth living again. But that's not really what this post is about. It's about a much more frustrating thing. I learned she makes right around the federal minimum wage, at her place of employment. I learned that she drives approximately 50 miles, round trip, for every shift there. (We're in a rural area, driving is just a reality of life as an adult.) What. The. Fuck. I want to scream at the CEO of the corporation (which is publicly traded, not a 'mom and pop' shop, by any means), How dare you rob this wonderful person of her time on this planet for what is functionally goddamn nothing?!? What is wrong with the USA? This shouldn't be legal. FUCK that corporation, and fuck the CEO and anyone…
