With my job we are supposed to get off for all State or Federal holidays. We have weekends off so usually if a holiday falls on a Saturday we get Friday off. If it falls on a Sunday we get Monday off. However this year Juneteenth falls on a Sunday and then the next day (which we would normally get off for it) it is a State holiday. So they are just combining the two together and giving us Monday off for both. That doesn't seem fair to me.

My job isn't terrible per say. It's just that there's no professionalism. It's like a college office and they're gossipy and fake nice. I actually just don't feel comfortable going in to work anymore. There's this unspoken odd energy in the air and it just irks me.

“Unqualified” for Entry Level Position
I was rejected from an entry level job posting because I didn’t meet the “basic education” requirements… I have a MSE/BSE in Aerospace Engineering? Yet, I’m told that everyone’s hiring?
Boom and Bust
How do any of you survive?
You have 8 minutes.
I was at a grocery store yesterday, and there weren't enough shopping carts available. There was an announcement over the intercom saying “to all team members… If you have carts and are not using them to help our beloved customers, please immediately bring it to the front.” I stopped in my tracks and burst out laughing at the phrase “beloved customers.” And then, maybe 30 seconds later, the voice came back, and in a very ominous manner, said: “You have 8 minutes.”
