I work at a restaurant. I like the job. The co-workers are great. It's fun to work there. I really like it there all things considering. Anyways, here's the deal. A woman quit her job. I got all her day shifts (which I really wanted. I hate working nights, because I'm usually the one that had to do all the crap prep work for the next morning.) Regardless, my shift ended up being Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning. I didn't want to work Saturday morning. Everything was great. Then a week later, she comes waltzing back into work wanting her job back. Of course they give it to her… along with all her shifts. They change mine around and tell me about it AFTER the fact. So now, my shifts end up being Monday off (which I didn't want), and working Saturday morning (which I also didn't want). I'm…

Disrespected
Been on the new, remote job for about 2 months now and my supervisor strongly believes I should be 100% fully trained on everything, which is A LOT. The 1st few weeks I was battling bronchitis and was on heavy meds which made training and retaining the info not feasible. The person that’s supposed to train me is kinda new and does not feel comfortable training me, supervisor knows this so I was sent several PowerPoint slides to read to help me learn all the ins & outs of the job. Just reading something doesn’t do anything, I learn from doing & being shadowed as I do the tasks. My supervisor has stepped in to train and every single time, they’re always late, like 15 + minutes late. She speaks in rapid fire which makes learning a bit difficult since I’m watching her to the tasks on the screen. I…
Selling the restaurant
I was just curious to get everyone’s opinion. There is this restaurant in a tiny town today basically just one restaurant and one gas station town. About 30 minutes away is the actual town with the McDonald’s and Walmart lol. The lady said she was selling the restaurant because she could not hire enough staff. I ask what she was paying and she said she needed a line cook but she was paying minimum wage. The local McDonald’s near her is paying folks $24 an hour without any experience just selling cheeseburgers. This lady states that she does not have McDonald’s money behind her and I understand this but realistically if you have to sell the business because you do not have staff it seems dumb to not adjust cost to hire someone for a wage that will keep them around especially in a small town. Reasonably enough when I…
Recently found out I've been blacklisted from a company because a garbage human went and told them that I was “too pro union”. This piece of trash goes working for their direct competition on his time off and is recruiting people I know to work for his own business on the side. Piece of sh*t gained nothing from stabbing me in the back. They pulled a contract, never even asked me about it, just straight blacklisted… The scum rule this earth.

Congress 2.0: What the majority want, period. When the people had enough, history communicates change is the result. You can’t help but envy that as a whole we made it this far given the circumstances. It’s just growing pains. Many great changes did make a difference. But ultimately, no matter what flavor of government or style of society you build, the greed virus gets in and breaks it. We are saturated with the greed virus. Day to day is navigating a minefield of mistakes that you must pay the consequences for. It’s like you're on a survival show for entertainment, being tracked has been normalized so this is your Squid Game. Do you feel represented? Are your best interests being considered? Is this life practical to you? Select groups of people have control. Greed ensures they represent their own interests. Regardless of lifestyle, you live this life. You know the…
Burner account and on mobile … I’m a server at a franchise restaurant. At the end of each shift, our credit card tips are already documented in the computer, and we’re required to enter the total amount of tips to claim for tax purposes, including cash tips (which is basically an honor system), and that amount is stated on our paycheck. Obviously many servers don’t claim their cash tips, but I personally do because I’m in the process of buying a house, and I need all the proof of income possible for my home loan. Well, today I noticed that my claimed tips didn’t match up for what I actually made the past 2 weeks. The amount was a lot lower, so I looked back at my previous paychecks and realized the same thing. First off, I take full responsibility for not being more attentive to the tip amounts on…
