Quit job after 1 and a half week
And it's not because anyone was mistreating me or anything. I was offered a summer job at a graphic design company that is responsible for setting up a bunch of newspapers. I was thrilled, excited, and happy to use my education for something related. Then after just one and a half week I had a mental breakdown over the amount of work and stress. I had underestimated it, this I own up to. I had wanted to work in a newspaper ever since I was a teen and it had been a dream come true. But I realized this kind of environment is too hectic for me. Had this been 10 years ago I would've tried to stick it out and probably run my mental health to the ground from stress. PSA: when you quit
USA: I've seeing posts about hourly workers who quit after they received a paycheck. I just want to let you know that this is usually not your last paycheck. Businesses have pay periods and your check comes after it ends. Everywhere I've worked hourly has paid ever other friday. Their pay periods are generally sunday through sunday and ends saturday and then the friday following that sunday is your pay check for that pay period. Start Sun-sat Sun-sat End friday $ I'm not sure how clear this is but i want to make sure everyone knows to find out their pay period timeframe and that they get paid for it.
We were all hired on for the same position within 4 weeks of each other. What’s the best approach to discussing pay to ensure we are all compensated equally? We each have the same credentials and work experience. Thanks for your help!
Fired without warning

Finally at year 4 I could barely get out of bed I was so depressed. The day I quit she said yeah I don’t think there ever was an assistant job for you) Basically just endured abuse for my last 2 years working there. Anyways, quit and continued to clean twice a week at the store for 1.5 additional years- easy extra money). Went in after closing, never had to…
