Month: July 2022
I recently started working at a medium sized sort of old fashioned business that I can see has a lot of potential. I’ve been working on a BIG brand overhaul project that I worked really hard on and was really proud of the creative and modernising ideas I’d come up with (my bad I guess). My boss then reviewed everything I’d done then shared with our big bosses and CEO as if she’d done it all herself! Then in related follow up projects did the same again – even in a group chat saying “I’m working on it right now ughhh so busy” about something she asked ME to work on that I was finalising!!!! Also a few of my ideas for improvement were shot down because they were things that would go against her previous (shitty) ideas. So to not make herself look in the wrong in retrospect (not…
Inflation, Starvation then rebellion. Nostradamus predicted this passage for the year 2022.
Can I sue?
Worked 5 years in an IT company managing the physical side of hardware deployment and all the repairs and interdepartmental stuff involved in that. Was diagnosed with epilepsy 2 years ago and made sure to tell them for my own benefit. A week later I was removed from my role into another which I again excelled at. The owner then denied me a wage increase I had been asking for for 3 years because of performance on the basis that I was “a liar” and supposedly didn't have epilepsy and would need confirmation from my neurologist. Once received I was again denied a wage increase while people were being hired on wages well above mine. It's 2 years since and am only coming to realize how shitty I was treated by someone who I've know since I was a child and who I worked 12 HR shifts for without extra…
advice for wrongful termination
Would absolutely anybody be able to help me figure out if I’m grasping at straws? I think I was wrongfully terminated and this last employer is preventing me from getting new jobs left and right. My problem, I signed an work at will document which was brought back up when I was terminated. I signed it and put the date HOWEVER the manager signed it seemingly day of termination and did NOT date it. Now when I was in school I got out of a class that had required a summer assignment and when I tried to get out they said you signed the contract and in fact I hadn’t signed it at all. Would the manager not signing the date make the contract invalid? Making me not an at will employee? Again thank you I do think I’m grasping at straws so.
Wish I was making this one up
I really didn't know where else to post this. I am on the spectrum and am having a hard time finding a job that I fit in. Every job I've ever had starts off great but eventually they get tired of dealing with the problems that autism is causing. Does anyone know of a remote job that has the patience for someone like me?
Mandatory Saturday overtime?
We have a new program manager at work (government contract) who is making numerous changes all at once. This morning he has decided to make our work weeks 6 days long. Mandatory 8 hours of overtime on Saturdays even for the people that are not behind on work. Is there any insight on what can be done about this? I prefer to have a healthy work/life balance and not spend every day at a desk when I efficiently finish my work every week. Thank you in advance!
