The last 10 years, I was grinding for this dream. Sunk every last penny into my art. And now I can quit my job because I’m making significantly more money playing music and singing on stage than doing my day job. I’m in literal tears right now because I never thought this day would come. Working from 7am to 5pm then doing my second job and my third job… not getting home until like 4am and sleeping 2 hours a day… 7 days a week with no vacation… just so I could make enough money to pay my bills and practice my craft. It’s finally happened. If you’re reading this and you’re grinding just like I am to make your dreams come true, don’t give up. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. Believe in yourself. You got this.

I used to work at a cell phone carrier store front, I had been there 5 years. I was a salesperson of the month multiple times and always had good numbers. I had a boss who was brought in as the store manager as part of a “college new hire program” despite many in store employees being way more qualified with life experience in cell phone sales for 15+ years. Eventually after she had ran off many of the veterans I was left to open the store one morning by myself while the manager was on the floor greeting people. She had the biggest hard on for micro-managing and always would stand over my shoulder being critical of how long I would take with each customer.
