This flaw has caused me more pain than you can imagine

(I know the title & topic seem off topic to WORK, but it leads to it. This was a journal entry/epiphany I had) Being indecisive. But let’s break that down even further. Not knowing what the heck I want. It’s the reason why I start relationships and end them. Why I hurt people closest to me. Why I start things w/o finishing. It sounds simple, but foe me it really isn’t For the first 7 years of my adulthood, I feel I just started moving aimlessly Very unclear of what it is I actually want. I learned very fast that if you don’t have a plan or goal, the world will have one for you. Like me starting videography and getting burnt out from taking too many wedding clients Or jumping into relationships W no thought of the future and the pain that’s caused I feel like I’ve been driving…

Please give me support

I got fired from my cs internship 3 weeks before it ended because they said my work wasn’t meeting their standards. They had a tight deadline and gave me a good part fo the work they wanted. I couldn’t get any guidance for how to code stuff and no one taught me anything so I had to spend nights and weekends coding to meet deadline. My product had a lot of bugs so when I got fired they said I wasn’t meeting there expectations and I also have adhd so it’s challenging for me to wake up and do everything properly in the morning I’m really demoralized right now because it feels like a CS job would be hard for me and I won’t learn the skills I need. I am a rising junior in college and I’m dealing with a lot of mental health stuff

My job is raising the minimum wage above what I make now

Here's the catch, no one knows if people under the new “minimum” will be adjusted to that as their new salary or if we will be adjusted to the same range we were previously. The change goes into effect in October. For example: We follow a minimum, mid and max for each position in compensation. I had to negotiate my salary to get to the midpoint in compensation due to my previous experience. You could see how, if I went from being paid midpoint compensation to suddenly minimum wage for the same job – I would be pissed. I've already screenshotted my compensation page showing I fall in the midpoint incase I need to use that in negotiations. Is there anything else I should do to prepare? I'm used to employers screwing me over.

Hiring Question

So I applied to be an assistant manager in retail. I know someone at the store I used as a referral and I got the email today that they will be interviewing me for that position. The person I know at the store said the GM will likely offer a lower level position because they are at capacity for that position I applied for. So would it be professionally inappropriate for her to interview me for that position just to offer me a lower position with 20% less pay? When the email specifically says she'll be interviewing for that position? I'm more interested in a higher position to get more experience in management. And plus I really need the higher pay that comes with the position. I've dealt with the worst in retail like stuff that would be on YouTube bad. And this store supposedly is way more laid back…

Boss opens a new position. Boss interviews only 1 candidate – his friend.

Had to share this gem. Our useless director finally moved forward with adding another member to our department. This new position pays very well, so we all expected a healthy pool of candidates and finally settling on somebody promising. Haha… no. A few of us get asked to sit in on a panel interview of the only candidate he wants to interview. It's a friend of his of course. This person did absolutely terrible. He showed zero enthusiasm for the position. He couldn't answer even the most basic questions about his past roles or the generic HR questions. It's obvious that he is beyond unqualified for this position. So anyway we expect him to start next month. My attitude towards work anymore is giving about 0.5% effort. I generally don't give a fuck, and shit like this further reminds me why.
