I've seen many posts on here, where people just leave their job without giving a notice. I know you dont have any of the worker priviliges we have, where i come from so here is my question: Would you be willing to accept a longer time notice (like 3 months where im from) in exchange for mandated privileges like: Minimum 4 weeks PTO Livable wages Benefits including healthcare.

How to deal with a lazy colleague?
I provide admin for a three people – two assistant psychologists and a manager. From the beginning of my post one of the ass psy does the bare minimum and no more. The staff who do the same job as him that started after him already are 100 times more organised and helpful than him. The problem is the knock on affect it has on my workload. I end up doing time consuming tasks to fix his lack of attention to detail. Last year 5 days before Christmas I ended up having to trawl through pages of HIS spreadsheets to fill in information as well as carry out my million other tasks. I’ve raised the issue with management multiple times. They will sheepishly remind him to keep on top of stuff but it always ends up going back to the same thing. I feel like he is very much aware…
Worked for this one guy for over a year as helper in renovations. Then he told me he has more projects coming up and we need a new guy to work with us and help us. So he found a guy Newly immigrated with Zero construction experience so I had to actually teach him whats where how to use tools etc. Everything looked all right to me until one day he texted me and told that there is no more work for us to do even though I knew he is lying and I know for a fact that he still works with that new guy thru our mutual friend and FB pictures(lol). That's that, no notice, no insurance (self-employed) no income, no savings. I feel like my story is lacking a climax but this exactly what happened to me.
Apparently 15 is still too high for the majority of people.
Imma try real hard to keep this from turning into venting. But: Apparently that week that I showed up to for pre service before school started, I didn’t get paid for. I wasn’t told this. I was never told I wouldn’t get paid or compensated for showing up to pre service. Just that we were required to.l as long term subs. Which is fucking Bullshit. So without the extra 1k, I only made about 7500 ish this paycheck. So there goes me being able to pay for a beekeeper to come remove the hive. I’ll have to call them tomorrow morning and work something out. I get paid by the day. That means I’m not getting sick days. So I lost three days because I caught covid. That’s about 300-400 I could’ve had for my next paycheck gone. I just find it bullshit that not only was I expected to…
I can't wrap my head around the fact that me and like 3 other people produced, packed and sent out products for a company with the total worth of like 150k in a week and we don't even earn a fraction of that in the whole year.
