Must be a team player
Come to realise that hearing the phrase “team player” is code for doing more than one person's work and unpaid over time…awesome
No, it won't come back to me, or if it does, I don't care. The song needs to be readily available on services like Spotify or Deezer. Subtlety won't really work, so stuff like Rage Against the Machine is out. Yes, this is childish. Yes, I want to make people stop talking and look at each other uncomfortably. No, the songs won't be checked ahead of time, some genius in the Culture Club has created a slackbot for this. Best case scenario is that people spit their drinks and clutch their pearls. EDIT: The suggestions so far are okay, but I need things more outright offensive. Not something you need to listen to, but something that you're forced to hear.
Waiting for supervisor
So I was meant to start this new job today was told to go to reception and call for the supervisor and I have done this and well it’s now been 30 minutes of me waiting around. I have asked 3 separate people if they could contact him and as such I’m still waiting first time this sort of thing has happened to me. Should I call it quits and walk?
Who the hell comes up with bull like this? The only guilt I feel is the one I am made to feel by the higher managment coming up with all sorts of rules for the hybrid work. In my case there isn't even enoigh seating if eceryone came into office everyday and if you are in the office they are constantly coming uo with stuff and meetings that reduce your productivity and equate to very little. The most ridiculous ones I've seen were from CEOs in Portugal saying remote (or tele working as they insist to call it) must emd because they get too distracted getring the kids from school and setring clothes to dry in work time. Seema like this CEOs have deep issues.
And I turned to my shift leader (and plug) and said, “It was nice working with you though.”
I finally respected myself
By putting my phone on mute and ncns on my third day of a really shit job/work environment 🙂 it was my first time experiencing people w grindsets, and it feels so liberating that I won't be talked down to because I didn't do “homework” before my second day there. Now if only my now ex manager could grind through fixing my time clock like he told me he would, so I don't lose 7.5 hours of pay…
Antidepressants can only do so much. I hate this.
