Like seriously, Every single job I apply to always wants me to make an email and password in their company website and give me all these Tests and questionares with all my info just to be given messages afterwards about how they will be moving on with other candidates bullshit Like why did I waste all that time applying and doing all that when it’s just going to be rejected. It’s worse when it’s entry level positions that still want experience. Im stuck with so many accounts in employer websites that haven’t accepted and just sit there. Even when I feel like I do great in the assessments, it’s still rejects me. Im tired of it! No more, Im done!
I've worked for a company for about 8 years on and off, always on good terms with employees and bosses. Im a hard worker, never known what it is to take it easy when it comes to having a job. Unfortunately the past year has been a bit of a Rollercoaster as ive rarely seen more than a couple days scheduled and mostly for a job ive consistently asked to not be scheduled for. They recognize my work ethic and cant seem to keep people hired for that position. Big surprise, its lowest wage in house and its usualy solo. No help. So it shouldnt be a surprise to them when onw of their best workers wants to move on to better positions that ive proven i also excel in. Instead im scheduled two days that ALWAYS get cut two hours early. Time to move on? Is it worth finding…
So I took a job in tech for a reputable company in the tech world. The pay is trash. In fact I turned down a job making 30k more in a diff industry because I’m trying to advance in the music tech / web 3 industry. My plan is to work hard for 6 months and if I’m not promoted / switch departments by month 8 with a significant pay increase I’m gonna leave . (the company does have many employees get promoted in under a year they prefer internal moves to hiring outside) It feels kind of crazy to be starting a new job knowing my plan is to leave in 6 months but I already lost respect for them by them not raising my salary by anything when I requested negotiation. I do think this is the best plan. Thoughts ?
I just have two years of experience doing android development, and have been working at a small software company here in Mexico for the last year; but I feel it's a complete scam for the clients and employees. The CEO is completely incompetent, and knows nothing about project management, but he thinks he does. He definetly bites waaay more than we can chew, and every single project has had major issues. I fear for my reputation if I stay any longer, we've lost at least one team member each week without notice, and our tech stack is bigger than IBM's or Google's because the CEO thinks “it makes us more competitive”, but treats workers rights like carrots on a stick. He's basically built a company out of govmnt subsidized interns which he sells like mid level developers, and has us lie to the customers about our experience. The only ones…
I’m not sure what to do
I went to job interview Tuesday. Friend who drove me waited an hour in car. Few things that just gave me bad vibes was them just firing a guy right there. Interviewer directly tells me he had to let him go for lateness, then proceeds to say how only two original people are left of shop employees when he took over and changing things. So than he leaves. I wait 15 minutes for shop supervisor to come in. Walk around shop everyone just looks miserable. So anyhow, I put my desired pay as certain range of 17 to 18. Pretty standard pay for warehouse. He said, “Well you want this but I can do 16.50, I don't want to pay someone more if they turn out to be not worth that” I counter with well after 90 days than we can reconvene. He agrees and said than I'll give you…
