It’s been nearly six months since I resigned because of toxic management and low compensation. I don’t regret quitting, it’s the best decision I’ve made for my mental health. The thing is, I hate interviews. I’m not good at it. I lack the communication skills needed for interviews, though I know I can do the job. I’m actively applying and do get calls, emails or messages from potential employers’ but the problem is me. So far, I only went for 2 interviews. It got to a point where I get so anxious when receiving a call that I ended up not answering at all. Email or message – ghosting. Every. Damn. Time. Same thing happened before when I left my previous job -delayed salary. It was days before Covid and spent ten months jobless. I only got this job because of referral. I just wish employers would take a chance…

I don’t want to name the company (sorry) but I came across a site that did this. Under the photos of their team, there was a list of all their previous staff, maybe even 10x longer than the current team. Has anyone seen this before? What’s the point? What do you think about a company that would do this?

Sourced and quoted from a current employee who is now refusing to come into work. “Octapharma Plasma on 3644 Avenue of the Cities Moline, IL has only sprayed once for bedbugs, and went days without treating the bedbugs, while not telling workers or donors about the infestation. They saw the original donor who infested the center and deferred him without spraying the center. They sent out an email on the 20th stating the center was closed “due to unforeseen circumstances” to be sprayed. The problem has been going on since about September 8th. This facility uses ripped chairs, only closed for one day while infested with bedbugs, and failed to notify the donors about bedbugs when the center has had bugs since a week after September began or so. Unacceptable. Octapharma better pay up to their employees and donors.”

Recently I’ve been having medical problems that required me to go to the ER twice. I’ve just moved cross country and finally received care from a specialist. My doctor wants to perform a biopsy, so I’ll need to take Tuesday and Wednesday off (found this out today). I start at my job that I just transferred to on Monday. I called my manager and she absolutely laid into me. Before I really got to speak, she said “one thing you need to know about me is that I’m super anal with the scheduling and I don’t let people walk all over me.” I then said okay, I have an important procedure that my doctor scheduled me for that NEEDS to be done. When I first joined this sub I joined because of curiosity but I also did so with a smug attitude in a pursue for a quick laugh out of it. “Anti work… What the fuck is that even supposed to mean? How is that even supposed to function?” I would scuff to myself. Today I walked in to my bosses boss' office. I got told they had a meeting about me, and that I'm doing a great job. I work hard, prove to be something the company can put money into in the future. I was pretty happy about that. I try to show that I am an asset that can only benefit places I work, and in return I get better benefits. Both of my bosses are new to being leadership around these parts. Anyways. I was told after the meeting they didn't really know my role, and that I need to code myself differently (codes say what you are doing at what times on their screen).
