I have had to take down quite a feel posts due to it but I've noticed that there is just straight up a lot of trolling for an anticapitalist page.
Yeah, must be all the avocado toast…
Remote job posts disappearing…
I work in health tech and am currently fully remote (since before COVID.) My job is starting to suck for mainly political reasons, and I see the company changing in ways that I do not support, so I am starting to job hunt. Because my work can be done remotely, and I am a very successful remote worker, that is obviously what I prefer. A hybrid environment would be acceptable, or even the type of place where I need to go in one week every quarter for training or whatever. In my job hunt however, I have noticed that there are almost no remote jobs being posted. There are some that are hybrid, but those are very few. I really miss the days of the pandemic when companies understood that work that it is 100% done on the computer can almost always be successfully done in your remote fashion. Cheers…

Throw away to CYA on this name and shame
Gather around children, I'm gonna tell you a story. A story of magic and wonderment… This is what happened when I called out my boss for serving cross contaminated with raw chicken food to a large party of elderly people, I tried to stop him, I tried to throw away the cross contaminated meat before it could be served…. but ultimately he did serve it to them… before we begin I want it to be known that I am in no way innocent in this. I did not act in the most professional manner when this happened. To say I was upset would be an understatement. I'm a 27+ year long restaurant professional. Food safety is tenement to a chef's career the corner that has zero room for wiggle or corner cutting unless you're a dirty scumbag. Food safety is driven into our being from the word go. Serving food…
Break time deductions
Is it legal for companies to deduct bathroom breaks from actual scheduled breaks? So like if I use the bathroom and it takes 5min, can they legally deduct that from my 15min break that’s an hour later?
I work for the water company which covers London and we're currently voting on reforms to our contractual terms of service. The second vote was voided today by the unions (we have 3) because the company tried to sneak in terms which weren't part of the negotiations which would negatively affect overtime pay. The union noticed, called them out, and cancelled the vote (JOIN A UNION!) As you can imagine, the company is trying to skew the unions as the bad guys. I've copied their full response below for your interest which they sent to all employees. For me it's the “extremely disappointed” and blaming the unions that the changes will be delayed until Xmas. Also the positive feedback apparently for the 5% payrise despite it being rejected by 87% at the first vote. Fucking liars. Hi everyone, We are extremely disappointed to inform you that the trade unions have…
