So I work for a unionized federal entity. And boy have they dropped the ball. I mailed a resignation letter back in July due to medical reasons. Was finally contacted and told to submit a new one. I physically drove the 5 hrs to submit it in person and had a supervisor sign it. It is September and it still has not be recognized. I called HR and they told me to track down both copies and email then in. I was told they would honor the original date of separation. So I did just that a few days ago. I still haven't heard anything. The thing is….I'm in LWOP status am still being charged for insurance premiums I'm not using bc I haven't been terminated yet despite me having a new job this entire time. My probation at my new job is almost up so ill have new insurance…

This isn't a particularly interesting or dramatic post, I just really needed to vent to someone about this very frustrating situation at my weekend job. I work as a courtesy clerk for a major American grocery retailer in a Midwestern city of about 100,000 people. This used to be my full-time job, bit after getting an office job earlier this year, it's now a job I do on the weekend for a bit of extra spending money. I worked at this store throughout the entirety pandemic, which is where this entire situation began. Now the store I worked at used to have about 200 shopping carts in all. One of my client teams had turnover and so we hired a new Account Manager (around 3 months ago). This new manager was hired from another country and we helped him with his visa process etc, and he is relocating to the UK in a few weeks. In terms of his work ethic, it is strong in that he tries hard and wants to impress me, which is great, but his work hasn't been 100% up to scratch. It's been around 2+ months in and I am basically doing around 90% of his work (leading…

Little background: I work in sales seasonally and have been with the same company for 3 years. We make enough during season to last us the second half of the year without having to get a second job. Decided to get some extra cash for some hobbies this year wanting to work some retail job or something laid back. I have applied to probably 100 places without a call back. Minimum wage jobs I feel I’m extremely overqualified for and not 1 call. I’ve been so spoiled with my other job that I had no idea what this market was like. Maybe I’m being dramatic but damn I feel awful
