Article starts off with what looks like a completely fictional story at worst, and anecdotal at best. The article then goes on to purport one of “life’s great truths”: “You only get out of something (school, work, relationships) what you put into it.” Would love to see some sources backing up this stark claim. Before finishing with what sounds like a mild threat and sloppy power move.

Hi everyone bit of an odd scenario however as the title states my boss is suspicious of me being on drugs at work because I have anxiety and I get really nervous while talking to him. This is mainly over one particular interaction that happened yesterday morning. I was opening the store (I’m an assistant manager), it was 6:10 AM and I didn’t expect anyone else to come in so I was surprised and a little startled when I saw the owner of the store (my boss) come in. It was my first day back from vacation yesterday and I was a little anxious about coming back and I was also anxious about other things going on in my life. I also had a terrible stomach ache yesterday I don’t know if it was something I ate but me being anxious definitely didn’t help. We start to make conversation and…
I won’t get too into the details but a few months back my new boss decided they wanted to change up the office by laying off several workers and rehiring a new team of people. The boss is completely new to the job and didn’t fully understand the scoop of work that all of us did. (The new boss came from a restaurant background and we worked for a City agency.) I had worked for this company just shy of 10 years and never had any issues. However, shortly after the new boss was hired, I was attacked by a homeless person while at work and got seriously injured to the point were I’m going to have to have surgery. The new boss decides that they’re going to lay me off because I was no longer able to lift things due to my injury at work, so the new boss…
So the company I've worked for for the last 4 years is being shut down. The director has been taking money out of the company and loading debts from his other company onto us knowing he's gonna fold us. So we all got new jobs and due to needing to get in on the next training course they're running, I give a weeks notice. Bossman isn't happy. Says I can't do that, I have to give a month. Says he needs to think about it. The clown genuinely thinks he has some say in the matter. This was Tuesday. He's not spoke to me at all since. Gonna be a rough day for him Monday when I'm not there.
