I get along with most everyone I work with and I understand some people have been working with each other for years in the same place so maybe it's like that for them. Funny thing is, the most terrible jobs I've come across is where I hear this, to take the attention away from bad working conditions and otherwise.

I currently have a job but I hate it. So I have been searching my city high and low for jobs that sound like the opposite of what people say they want, hoping there will be barely any candidates. My current job which I have had for a few years has, at least in my opinion, a ton of great skills and experience that is transferrable to other jobs. I’ve had professional help building my resume. I have been applying to every job that comes up and that I know is complaining about being short staffed, yet I am consistently rejected. Doesn’t matter if I have the education and experience requirements. Still get rejected. Though since everyone is complaining about no one wanting to work, I thought I would also apply to jobs where I don’t technically have necessarily ALL of their requirements hoping they’ll make an exception since they…

This bears repeating because its an unfortunate ploy of recruiters. They mine the public for information about jobs. They may not be calling you up because they have a job in mind for you. They may be calling to pick your brain and ask you names and phone numbers of your previous supervisors and co workers to use as “warm leads”. Sometimes that will be the first thing they ask when they call you or email you. “I need your references before we go any further”. After you give them your references, you may never hear from them again. Don't agree to give out references until after you have a first job interview.
Working in the education field really broke me. Went from wanting to be a teacher to settling for childcare to hating everything. Why? Cause management. Every time I think it’ll be different. I’ll get fair pay. Management will be held responsible. I’ll be able to handle the inevitable hate that comes with putting the kids before the ass kissing. I’m leaving this industry soon. Can’t wait.
A raise for my salary will do!
Never work for a company that says you are like family. You know how family treats you? Mom calls to have you drive across town so you can move her couch. FREE. Maybe she will make you a hot pocket. But you do it because you love her. Your brother's house needs a new roof. You end up over there all weekend busting your sack and are treated with a smile and some beer and pizza. But he would do the same for you. At work, hell no. It just means that YOU give the extra and they get the benefit. It just means they expect something for little to or nothing for your troubles. The difference is they won't have your back. If a company says they look at themselves like family, ask em.what it means. Then ask em to come.over to your house and help you move your…
Correction in the title I meant “this whole thing is a lie” but I don't know how to change a title. https://www.thv11.com/video/news/local/little-rock/little-rock-dispatchers-implement-changes-to-help-in-emergencies/91-50e302ae-ebec-48ef-ad95-a19db5d5e097 This is the interview in question. This is my SO (significant others) agency for 911 dispatch. The only truthful part of this interview is the CAD (computer aided dispatch) way of prioritizing calls. That's it!!! Before these 12 hour shifts your people had more time off. You are working your dispatchers to death and I'm watching my SO being worked into the ground. They now work 4 days of 12 hr shifts in a row with just 2 off days. Just 2. When they were on 8 hr shifts working 5 days a week even with just 2 off days then, they had more time off. Even when working those 8 hr shifts and they had to work 12-19 mandatory 4 hour segments a month they still had…
