Went over my HR reps head bc they wouldn’t help me

For context, I had just recently turned 26 and needed to sign up for health insurance through my job. Near the end of August I followed the directions and set everything up and received the confirmation email saying I would be all set starting October 1st. The week of the 3rd comes around and I happen to bump into my HR rep, they asked me “have you received your insurance card yet?” To which I replied that I have not. They then told me if I haven’t received it soon to let them know. Next week, still no card. Over 3,500 letters sent to Vox CEO ahead of Dodo strike.

The unit (made up of the editors, producers, and writers for all there content plus social media folks) will potentially go on strike if there contract isn't renewed by Oct. 31st. According to the official twitter account, over 3,500 letters have been sent to the CEO in solidarity, and people have also begun signing up for the picket line outside of the NYC office.

New job has expensive sick policy

There is no pto, sick pay, holiday pay. Immediately sent home when we see you are sick. Once we are aware you are sick: You will be removed from the rest of the schedule for the rest of the week and your shifts will be given away As soon as you have a Dr release note, please email it to us at the bakery email Until you have provided a Dr note you will not…
