Three people Vs 165 million
Happened to me when I first applied. They offered 17-18/hr in the job description but then after getting my paycheck it says I'm being paid 16/hr. Is that normal?
Just as the title says my CO worker that I worked with for years got promoted over me to a sales manager position. Backstory: We both work in sales at the same store I actually got her hired at my store she was previously from a smaller location. She had some experience but I really took her under my wing where I had been doing it longer and was a shift manager for a while. I also had trained many newbies and helped run this store for a while. We both have been top in the company for sales but I have been doing this for about 7 years and about 5-6 for my co worker. A new company bought us and opened up new opportunities. So, recently a smaller location nearby needed some help and I was sent over to try and help that store produce. At 1st it…
i normally work 40+ hours a week however next week i’m only scheduled 20. i’m lowkey struggling not to have a panic attack at work right now because i don’t know how i’m gonna be able to afford rent with that. like is that even allowed????
My boss just told me I'm not allowed to miss work because im sick. And that I would have to either find someone to cover me or go to the er to get meds and come in anyway. There is only one other person that can cover my shift because there is only 2 people on night shift and we alternate weeks. I work as a care giver for venerable people. And I only make 8.25 an hour. Corporate America sucks ass.
If you are active, you know even one week of physical inactivity will set you back. If you are grinding, you likely don't have time to keep up a regimen. The people voluntarily working unpaid overtime aren't doing so because they are so love with their work. Yes, they may love their work, but that isn't the sole reason. They are going in because they are lonely. They may have taken a job in a new city and haven't made friends. Or their friends have gotten married and started families and don't have time for them anymore. They may also live far from their families. So they dive into work because when you are lonely, work is a way to give your life meaning. This is the real truth they don't want people to know or even to admit.
