For the last 12 years I've been working in a tire factory doing production shift work (all 12 hr shifts, 7-7 rotating between days and nights). The new job I've just started pays about half what I was making starting out and it's the best decision I've ever made… I've seen the company slowly and methodically over time pick away at our compensation and benefits,which for the insane work environment and expectations was absolutely needed to keep employees. I've seen them create multiple classes of workers that do the exact same jobs but because you where hired after a certain year you'll never make as much as those hired before you and will do the exact same work until the day you retire. I've seen them take away our company paid pension, “free tire” benefit, and medical once you retire which you used to have until the day you died.…

I photograph cars for a car dealer I work at all day, and if I call out we will probably be behind on the photos. No one replaces me nor will they train anyone to cover me and take photos. Anytime I call in (rarely) I have this anxiety all day that they’re just gonna let me go and call it day. Though I’ve never been in trouble or even talked back to anybody. Help?

Personally don't mind working, capitalism, or wages, as long as people are treated fairly (uk) which i think i am. Not rich, not poor, getting by but i see opportunity even though i lack any qualifications and have gotten far enough in my young life to be happy with what i have. What's your opinion?

I don't get it. Sometimes, it is for the exact same positions and sometimes for more money than the people that were laid off! The other companies are similar to Deloitte, but I am too lazy to look them up and post. Do they get government handouts or what? ​ MASS LAYOFFS!!! 999+ Jobs
