C-Suite Teams
I'm going to keep the company I'm talking about anonymous because I still actively have to use them as references in my work field; so please don't ask for identifiable information I worked at a very large, publicly traded, very well known company that is based in travel. We're going to call them Bob's Travel & Relaxation. This company over the course of 5 years had very public changes happen that had impacts to not just a lowly minions but the C-Suite team. Before I go further for anyone who doesn't know just to clarify C-Suite team are those executives that have literally a sea-based title so you're talking CEO, CFO, CHRO, CTO…etc. In time with one of those big changes the C-Suite team and made the decision that they were going to redo the layout of several floors of the building that the company occupied in addition to redesigning…
as title says, had a coworker put in their two weeks, and the new supervisor wanted a detailed list of what they accomplished while here. Felt like he wanted to be difficult because they had the audacity to find work elsewhere
Earlier this week I had mandatory training for 4hrs. It’s near the end of my work week, and I’m getting close to hitting overtime. I went in asking my ops manager how long he’s gonna have me out, since he avoids giving ppl overtime and was looking forward to a short day. He told me the hours trained don’t count towards the “work” hrs since it’s a different pay scale ie we don’t get our commission. This sounds fishy to me, any thoughts?
by the way “inchallah means if God wills it , this guy likes using it instead of yes and no leaved him some wiggle room

The reason I can’t even work
I used to want to work, get a job. But every single time I go for an interview it's like they take a look at me, and they already have an answer I used to work at a school before COVID but I think it's obvious why that's gone, but the only reason I even got that job was because my mom worked at the same school. I've put in the applications I have Jack shit when it comes to a resumé. I receive SSI, I live with my parents at the age of 22. And yet the governmental services that “help” peole like me and “support” our needs says that I'm capable of work. Yeah that makes sense, I can't work fast food, can't do registers cause my piss poor math skills that i passed with a D+ grade. And yet the government still thinks I'm capable of a…
Two jobs, same duties, different pay?
This is part rant/ part seeking advice. Going to be vague on some details for privacy's sake. I work for a state agency in Texas, and in the department I work everyone has the same job duties. I've been with my agency for over six years, and in my current role over two years, a technical but non-supervisory role. When I was promoted into my current role, I wasn't really aware that there was more than one job title in our department. I was told my title would be “X” and I had a set pay range. Normal for government employees, you don't really get to negotiate your pay. Because I was brand new to the role I understood that I would be starting at the bottom of the pay range for this role, but assumed that I could get raised to the upper range with time in service. (Never…
