I broke down at work today
I’m a preschool teacher who is over worked, under paid and under appreciated. Around 8 people have left my job in the past two month which leaves the rest of the teachers working over time and extra drained. Today I just had enough – three people had called in sick from my room leaving me and another teacher with 21 kids. This is beyond a joke now. I’m on opening but I never get to leave on time – I leave two hours after my shift is suppose to end because almost everyday because we are short staffed and have a lot of kids. I get no time off the floor to do paper work but then the boss is always on our asses on why this or that hasn’t been done yet. They also expect us to do work from home without pay which I refuse to do. Today…
Need help or advice for my situation. I want to be the voice for 2 of my coworkers. There are two employees who were basically kicked out from their job because company decided to pay another company to do their work. They only need one and the one who wants to stay is newer doesn't know English and is being told to work among us with customers when previously they worked hours where business was closed. My coworker who's been there for 7 years doesnt want to be in front of customers and never had to untill recently. Before the change their jobs and duties were completely different then ours who deals with customer they operated during closed business hours. They only need one so know what happens the the other coworker? Fired no they're having him slowly leave so they won't have to pay for his unemployment. I'm talking…
I just started and I've been told this happens frequently. I'm only a week in and he's asked to stay late twice and moved my schedule without notice the other day.
Babysitting Supervisor?
I'm going to talk to a union rep tomorrow. Essentially, my supervisor is not working up to standards and management is attempting to pass some of her tasks onto myself and my coworkers. This is a common theme in my workplace where if you display incompetence or have a full adult tantrum, you will be rewarded by not having to do certain parts of your job. It is easier to give in to the employee opposed to fighting with them. I can't work that way. I am getting better at my boundaries, which is why I'm talking about this situation so I can get a better grasp of it. A few months ago I was asked to take on a part of a task that falls in line with my role. I believe someone in management did it previously, but not my supervisor. When I was given the task by…
Even though it was technically contract work, I'm pretty sure paying below minimum wage and not taking my SIN is still a federal crime. I couldn't find anything that said this was legal. And I explained as much to him. Like, I spent a good few hours on Google and Canada dot ca and Alberta dot ca. Nothing. I couldn't even find anything on Pizza 73's website saying this. I feel like an asshole, quiting like that. I was the only driver at that location. And one of the biggest hockey games in years was gonna be played in the next day. At least locally. But I couldn't fill my tank. I'd get off work, spend all the money I earned and more to put gas my tank and still not have enough to fill it. It wasn't worth it. Literally. I saved money by not working. I have another…

Would I get fired?
I work at Wendy’s and I am going to a rave. I am thinking of ripping the sleeves off the shirt and wearing it to the rave. Do you think anyone will mind?
I'm a disabled man that is physically healthy, but on this subreddit I was told I should work rather than live off the state because of my disability. What standard of antiwork is this server talking about?
