For backstory; I’m a relatively ‘new’ bartender. I upsold wines and wine pairings before, but that isn’t the same as bartending of course. Got me a new job right after quarantine ‘ended’ as a bartender for a pretty ritzy establishment ‘cause they needed to fill in space desperately, hence how I got the position. Learnt VERY fast what I needed to do/know and I’ve now been bartending there for a little over a year with zero incidents and only good feedback from guests. The problem; volume restaurant and the drinks menu plateaued ever so quickly. No real way to get better because all I’ve been doing is pumping out vodka martinis and old fashioned(s) all day, so I’ve started to branch out and look for other bartender gigs within the restaurant’s umbrella company. Low and behold, got an interview at a spot in the heart of downtown that makes craft…

Jobs lying
Why do jobs mainly reasturants say that they can give you like 20-30 hours a week and then when you start working there they schedule you like one shift the entire week I quit a job because of this just for it to happen again I’m going to get a second job so that I can work a bit more (context -I’m 16 don’t want to quit because it’s really nice )
I work in a corporate advisory. Two months ago we were working on a project/documentation. My reporting manager and her intern prepared the said document, the intern left and the client made a request to add the information from the document we had prepared from scratch to the document they provided us. As the intern left, the Reporting manager assured me that she has checked the entire document line by line and all I have to do is incorporate our document into the document provided by the client. That is exactly what I did. However, the client has been feuding with us with respect to some clause in the document that we had added. As per the client we have a dded a wrong clause. The Reporting manager has been very subtly trying to shift the blame of the fuck up on me. Kindly note that my company's HR is…
Truly dystopian….
So i’m a bit ticked off. My boss knew i was leaving within the next month for my next job as a corrections officer for the state. right now i’m just working overnights at a gym. I have no coworkers i work with, and i also have no coverage if i call out. This week is important to me because i have two Psych tests along with an interview Monday and Tuesday during the day, and i have to work alone both nights from 10pm-6am. I feel like he’s guilting me into not calling out and i don’t necessarily know my rights on using my available sick time.
What do we do to combat the feelings of dread and terror about Monday??? Let me know.
I’m at my wits end. (Rant)
My GM just quit at my job. I'm an assistant manager. Two other assistant managers have stepped up to take over his duties, and it is a disaster. They started by scheduling me 6 days in a row, back to back 10-12 hour shifts. I was originally supposed to have one of those days off, but then found out only the day before that they conveniently put me in for a shift on my one day off on the paper schedule, which conveniently trumps the email schedule. Every worker (With one exception) is to some degree just an incompetent asshat who comes in to collect money for less than minimum effort. The two GMs are the only ones I can rely on to get anything done, and they're mostly scheduled at times when I am not. Add on top of that, EVERYONE has collectively decided they want to be especially…
