So I've been working at this certain market for almost a year. September will make 1 year. I've done it all. Opening . Closing. Closing then opening the next morning. 60 hour weeks with no day off. I've never had issues getting my hours. Well over past several months management has changed and we got a new manager for our department. She actively doesn't accomplish much each day. Goes home early . Gives herself 2 days off a week and she's actively cutting the hours of people who actually work hard. Now we're stuck with employees who don't do anything and yet I'm the one loosing hours when I'm quite frankly better and more experienced than anybody else. I really don't wanna quit cuz hourly I get paid nicely and I'm coming up on my time to be eligible to get a week paid vacation So I'm tryna hold out…

I've been working at this company for 1.5 years, I just received an email from my boss telling me she needed me to change my resume to add in more experience. The email included an attachment of my resume with her own edits in which she added false work experience under my current job. She also changed the job descriptions under my past jobs and even added a job I never had. Is she trying to protect me or protect herself from an audit? I've never had this happen before. I don't feel comfortable lying on my resume and I'm afraid to tell her I won't change it and potentially get fired or them changing it without my permission regardless.

Little update, last Friday would have been my final pay period, and nothing came through for the couple days I did work during my final week. Plus, I was supposed to be reimbursed for USPS charges to mail her stuff. Despite dealing with the personal crisis, I still completed work on Monday, Tuesday, and a good chunk of Wednesday. I had a per-diem clause in my contract, so I emailed her today to gently say, “Hey, when can I expect this to come through?” Her response was “you didn’t work these days, you were dealing with your house, no payment is coming”. So, in response, I forwarded a bunch of publicly available posts, emails I had sent that day detailing work I had done, etc. for those days. So, I work in tech and every job is asking for AWS, Kubernetes, python, or some thing.. I don't know any of these.. even though I have worked in companies in last 10 years where these are extensively used, but I could never learn.. I want to get a better job, where my boss is not my ass all the time, but I am afraid if I lie, I might land myself in a job, where I am not able to do the work.. on the other hand, my current job I got by lying only but it turned out every thing they asked in job description was far away from what the actual job is.. how do I take any job requirements at its face value, when it is dicey if the actual job will need those skill set or not..

Is there any legal recourse for employer demanding biometric data? Asking for a friend. His company is demanding biometric data from employees for server security. He's willing to get fired for noncompliance. He also, has some cash to hire a lawyer.

Why do we all talk about this and know someone who is dealing with this situation where we either have so much medical debt or just can’t afford to pay for insurance premiums or have to generally worry about getting medical needs taken care of when we live in MAGA? Why do I read about this everyday and think about it everyday and worry about it everyday? Why can’t we all band together and actually do something about it? Make them listen? Why do we have to keep this up? I’m about done working for insurance… I just don’t understand.. we ultimately have the power to do something, but only if we do it together for ourselves. Nobody else is going to do it for us.. I don’t normally make posts online or even on Reddit, but just why? Why can’t we do anything about this?

Management asked me (19F) if I wanted to work up to team leader. I said it sounded like a good idea, and after some shadowing and a few basic things I was given 18 online courses to do. I completed them all. For a while I’ve been expecting to be given my first salesfloor leader shift, I’ve been pretty hyped up for the new responsibility. Recently I found out second hand off of another older colleague that my ascension has been pretty much dismissed, because the management apparently want to focus more on an already-made team leader and training them up for a higher support management position. I feel really hard done by. Not only was all that training pretty much a waste, but I didn’t even get to hear this off of my managers. A bunch of people seemed to hear about this before I even did. To give a brief overview of my experience with this company, they’ve been bullying me since day 1. The first supervisor I had would get annoyed at me if I had any questions for her & ignore me. Then she would lash out at me via email (and cc her boss so he could witness the lashing) when I inevitably did something incorrectly. Barely any training. You were just kind of thrown into things with no knowledge on the matter and you were expected to just figure it out somehow. That went on for 6 months until I started asking her for help in email communication so that I could document my experiences with her.
