How do you know if a company will treat you better?

In the title. I'm looking to leave my current job because we all get the same raise, regardless of the amount of work we put in but if we have an injury, that percent comes down. I'm wondering, now that I'm looking again, how do you know if an employer is any good? I don't want to put more years and effort into the next job just to have it not work out again.

Jobs keep pulling credit reports and lowering my score

I no longer have a qualifying credit score to rent an apartment. I was a few points over before I applied to these jobs, now I’m 5 under. I checked my report and all is well except for the list of those inquiries.

Gave my boss a 5 day notice

Been working for the same company for 4 years and they have decided to just not give the standard piss poor raise of 3% 2-4 years and have triple my work load and they also refused to pay us our stock options to fluff their bottom line. The only decent thing they did was pay for us if we wanted to go back to college and I just finished my degree last week and I’m immediately quitting and moving to a different city. I have no clue what I’m going to do but honestly I couldn’t care less. I’m at a point in my life where I’m ready for the unknown and excited to see where I land. I refuse to just work for the same mind numbing job for the next 20 years and hope I stashed enough away to retire. THATS NOT LIVING…. Rant over

Question about notice period

So, since boss is out of town till the 22nd, my job status is in a limbo as he cannot tell me the result of my PIP period. I am planning on quitting and wanted to know if I should send in my 2 week notice after I get my paycheck or time it so that the notice period ends 2-3 days after payday?

Short term medial leave question

My employer works with a third party insurance company for short term and long term leave disability/medical leave. I’ve notified my employer about needing to go on short term leave to focus on health needs. I did not disclose specifics with my employer, they also did not ask. I need to go on leave to deal with mental health issues i’m currently facing. I have started 2 new medications in the past couple of months and we have been trying various dosages. All of my drs (physician, psychiatrist and therapist) know of my plans to take time off and are supportive. I filed my claim today with the insurance company, a few hours later I received a Docusign telling me I HAVE to sign the following forms: “Authorization for release and disclosure of health related information” “Authorization for release and disclosure of psychotherapy notes” and “Authorization for release and disclosure…

Help finding an “easy” WFH position?

I’m trying to find something that I can do from home that isn’t hybrid and doesn’t need an absurd degree and qualifications for $10/hr. I am having an insanely difficult time with indeed since I can’t filter out all “remote but only in this city and only 2 days a week” listings. I would love something that could be done on my own terms, or something creative/freelance, but until then I need to pay bills, haha. If you have any specific jobs I should apply for or if you know of a company that compensates on a quantity basis that would be ideal. Thank you! PS I’m posting here because I’ve heard stories of people who automated like 3 different jobs so they can just relax during work and I aspire to that.

Denied Pay Raise Need Advice

Denied Pay Raise Need Advice We had a Salary Based Performance Update late last year. The metrics achieve determine our salary. I signed the document emailed it to us acknowledging the pay structure. I was due a pay raise at the beginning of this month for the past 6 months work (January-June). In July they changed the promotion structure. We still have yet to be notified what the new structure is, but only the top performers were given a raise although they already capped out at the limit they could receive. I met the criteria to be promoted based on the metrics I received Jan-June. I believe that the document I signed was a promise to pay based on work I provide. I provided the work, but am being denied the raise due to the new pay structure that was “setup” and not disclosed a month after the metrics were…
