4 Interviews? I Told Them “No” and They Offered Me the Job

I applied to be a claims adjustor for a very well-advertised American insurance co. A friend works there and likes it. The claims adjustors make like $70k. I interview, then get moved to take a test, then get asked to come in again (I figure for the offer negotiation), and then am asked to come in for one more test. Between traveling, waiting, interviewing, etc., it's like 9 hours. “Hey,” I say. “I'm not interested any more.” “But you have to for the hiring process. This is how we hire.” “I understand, but you should know if you want to make me an offer already.” So they make an offer, saying the last test is just a formality. I said no.
