7.5% inflation, no raises this year but we can offer candidates 5k to 15k more then current employees???

I work as a recruiter for a software company. (I know r/recruitinghell I am satan) but hear me out. This company is one of the leaders in the industry they are in and they have had a great couple of years and have been tvery profitable. I moved to the company to follow one of my old supervisor. I was working in Employee relations for my prior company and did not want to get back into recruiting but they offered me great Healthcare and a nice increase so I went for it. I started in September and they told us anyone hired before October 1st qualify for a merit increase. I started September 13th so I assumed that I would be getting one. Today my manager told me I wasn't and no one on my team was. They stated that they pushed it through and her boss said that we were all getting raise then came back and told her no.

Why I asked?? She did not know why but said I still got my bonus. Sweet. 1500 bucks that uncle Sam is going to take at 30% and ill try not to spend that 800 bucks that covers not even 1/4 of my monthly bills in one place.

I was so mad i called all my colleagues and same for them. 2 of them started well before me and they are getting nothing.

They do this, while they bring in new hires well above mid point for the role. Non HR people there is a set range for your job that has a low, mid, and high point. The industry standard is to hire at mid point since that is where your internal employees should be. At my last company if we went above the mid point we had to have our compensation department sign off on it.

But not here!!!! They will just approve and approve and approve the world for candidates like it's nothing.

Literally today after my meeting I made an offer for 110k, the candidate wanted 120k and they just said yes and approved it like it was nothing!!!!!!! I mean they can't even give me a 3% raise but sure if you are new heres and extra 10k. This happens everyday, I have 50 jobs i am hiring for I am drowning in interviews and paper work and for what? To give someone else money that they don't want to give me!

The worse part is the turn over here is crazy! People come in, get a nice pay check and just ditch then I am backfilling the position again and paying even more for nothing. Or they have an awful on boarding experience and don't come back in. Honestly I think its why they offer so much cuz this place is a joke and I have no idea who is running this shit show.

I can tell they fucked me over big time! I asked for 5k above my offer and they told me no!!!! Why??? Cuz I work in HR?

Everyone talk about how much you make, tell your co workers your raise amounts and stop with the fucking carrot. Its never going to happen.

For example My boss told me next year. They even said they would work on getting me back into employee relations. I said why?? So yall can still me again? Yeah well next year hopefully ill be working at a company that gives a shit!

Really Fuck this place. There is 4k recruiting jobs on LinkedIn right now. I will apply for them all.
