I’m currently pregnant and trying to figure out my options with work. My company told me I’m not allowed to work from home after having a baby because they feel like it would take up too much of my time to be dedicated to work. However, one of my other coworkers had a baby 2 months ago and she is working from home with no issues. I’ve been nothing but dedicated to my job and I’ve met all standards within the company to succeed at what I do. My work is completely doable from home since it’s all on the computer. I’m going to be forced to put her in daycare unless I can find another job. I have no idea how to fight this. I understand that a baby CAN be a lot of work but I find it extremely dismissive that they won’t even give me a chance to prove myself considering other people have done this in the past successfully within the company. If I fail, then fire me. But I would feel better knowing I was given a chance.
Any advice or tips?
