I was at Grocery Outlet getting a few staples and snacks for the 4th of July. Asked the cashier if the shop would be open on the Monday holiday. Hoping the answer would be No! Today is Saturday and workers are still waiting for their upcoming week's schedule. She also said the company doesn't do holiday pay.
If you're not familiar, the company sells discount food and household stuff at big discounts. About 300 stores over a half dozen states. This store location is convenient and sells at low prices, but at what cost? I'm reconsidering shopping here at all (on holidays & otherwise).
