Going to college for a worthless degree…

So I was recently accepted into the university of Minnesota twin cities. Boy was I excited. I applied for a business administration degree, but instead, they threw me in a whole different branch of the college, and gave me a two thousand dollar scholarship. (Presidents emerging scholars) Now hear me out, two thousand dollars is nice, but it comes with downsides. I am now apart of a program that targets low income individuals, (TRIO) saying that they help us in our college journey. The incentives they provide (that I know of) are basic career support, which is already provided, and the chance to be apart of a diverse community. There might be a few more things. Anyways, this program requires you to take a certain course, which means you are basically paying for that scholarship yourself. How do I even know they are going to help me in any way…

Anyways, this program requires you to take a certain course, which means you are basically paying for that scholarship yourself. How do I even know they are going to help me in any way other than what’s already provided? Anyways, back to them putting me into a college I didn’t apply for. The college I applied for was Carlson school of management, and they put me in the college of education and human development. CEHD as they call it has a business program sure, but it’s nothing like what I asked for. CEHD’s business course is solely business marketing. I could do a leadership and or management minor, but that doesn’t show up on my degree, and what is that going to do when my major would be MARKETING. I don’t even know what jobs are out there with this degree. All my research and time has been put into learning business administration. I want to start my own business. Not market someone else’s. I’m pretty sure they see no value in me, other than that I am a colored student. I’m at a loss for what to do because I’ve already had orientation and I would really hate to work any longer in the place I’m at because it truly sucks. I am thinking of transferring to Carlson next year, but I’d have to have a 3.8 GPA in classes that I don’t like, and that don’t relate to my wanted major. Wtf do I do?
