I mean look at it. I was just reading now of a mother in Kenya who has been reduced to sifting through the slum dump pile barefooted to find enough scraps to sell to make enough to just eat plain rice for her family. Yet she can no longer afford it due to this cost of living increase. Then there's Sri-Lanka literally about to run out of petrol and diesel completely whilst already in street civil war. Ukraine, don't get me started, Russia has started to completely obliterate the East and will only continue with the looming threat of China's support. Then by comparison, the UK and USA is also being hit with the cost of living rise and fuel cost rise, and yet here we all are.
Floating about through our corporate western nations still bowing down to our corporate employers as usual and being expected to act as though everything is still perfectly normal, fine and dandy. When does this all end? Are we seriously going to keep doing this? Keep going in to do our 45 hour work weeks to barely survive and not even be able to afford the basics, something has got to give and I seriously don't know how we have held out for this long.
(FYI before I get comments of “but those problems aren't directly happening here or in your country” Erm open your fucking eyes).
