It's not a double-point day, and weekends are always busy.
Busy = More lost revenue = Bigger collective message
Also, 1:00 is before the 2 o' clock people go home, but in line with the afternoon shift arriving, so that's more people to participate.
So far we've got about 3 dozen people who have stated an interest in participating.
We're going to stand on the grassy strips near the entrance with signs in hand to flag down arriving Associates and customers alike, and go over the union election process with Associates.
We rallied in our ODP department at work yesterday, and we've decided to stage a walkout over increasing orders with no increase in pay, chronic lack of equipment, widespread chronic back pain, being treated like animals, the serious lack or real PTO and sick days, and the fact that all managers, including hourly Team Leads, still get an annual bonus, even though they took away our quarterly MyShare.
We're walking out because we deserve better, and we're not afraid to say it!
