I’m glad I’m here

This evening, a brand new employee at our grocery store came in for their second ever shift. They said they were feeling like they might pass out. I had them sit down on some boxes we had in back and asked them a few questions. Then I suddenly thought, this is a low paying wage job. They might be starving. So I asked them if I could get them a slice of pizza, but they said they couldn’t eat pizza. How about rice? They asked, what kind? I asked, fried rice? They said yes. So I went to the kitchen, I got a small bowl of rice from the server, I went to the check out, got the plastic fork and a cup for water, I said, this is for a hungry employee who is about to pass out, and no one said a word. THANK YOU ANTI-WORK for educating…
