I was called for a job interview this morning at 8:30AM. They wanted to see me on Thursday (two days from now).
I'm out if town on vacation & can't make an in-person interview.
The application for this job was due the beginning of June with a proposed start date over two weeks ago. When I didn't hear back by the proposed start date, I assumed they hired someone else
It's the day after a major holiday & a popular week for vacations & family visits. Why would you want to schedule last minute interviews this week?!
I told them I could possibly do a phone interview, but could not guarantee I'd have signal. They haven't confirmed that yet. The only reason I'm even considering that is because my current grand boss recommended me for this position. They asked for 9 references in the application, so I'm not exactly thrilled about this position. If my current position wasn't being eliminated, I wouldn't bother.
