Hello, I'm currently a teenager and it's not illegal for minors to sign any legal documents in my country (or even get a job.. ish). I've reached out to a Non Profit Organisation in hopes of working with them as a volunteer intern (unpaid) and they mentioned that I'd need to sign an NDA before I can start.
The thing is that, I've worked with a few NGOs before who have asked me to verify my identity, but that's about it. I've never been asked to sign an NDA in my life (it could be common, I don't know, we're not legally allowed to get a job), but the strangest part is that they insist I come over and sign it in person? Since the internship is completely online, isn't that odd? I asked them to send me a soft copy so I could get the NDA approved by my parents but they kinda didn't respond? They've never mentioned the NDA in text, or even in an email. They've just talked about it briefly in an interview and restated it in other calls.
My question is, is this normal? I'm not sure if this is the norm because no other NGO has asked me to visit in person to sign an NDA. any advice?
