Mixed feelings after putting in my 2 weeks

As mentioned in the title, I'm kinda having mixed feelings. I work for a luxury car dealership as a mechanic. Ever since I began working here 4 months ago, I've always never fit in with the crew, and other incidents also occurred that I'll cover. For one, at this dealership, new techs always start out hourly for 3 months after hire, at which point afterwards it's changed to flat rate, where you get paid per vehicle you do based on the labor hours of the job being done. Simply put, if you're doing brakes on a car and the book calls for 1 hour, you'll be paid 1 hour regardless of how long it takes. 1.5 months in, the service manager decides to change me to flag rate without telling anyone, screwing over my upcoming paycheck. When asked, he said he'd given me a “free ride for long enough”. Honestly, I should have left then.

Flash forward to now, and I'm just to the point where I'm so fed up with this job and industry. If a mistake occurs, you will be shamed. It's a toxic culture that's officially destroying me mentally. Now, I have a job lined up as a delivery driver with similar pay. I put in my two weeks notice yesterday, and today, I just decided I couldn't do it and went to the beach. Now comes the mixed feelings part, I feel such a release just simply by not going in today, but I also feel guilty since I probably placed a lot of extra load on my coworkers. But then again, what should I care?

Hell, one of those coworkers told me I should stay late since I showed up a little late, even though he's late almost every day. So y'know what? Fuck 'em. I'm so done with the automotive industry and the politics that comes with it. I'm going to enjoy my day on the sunny beaches here in florida and just smile knowing that I don't owe them nothing.
