It will take me one month to get my paycheck from CVS after an onboarding experience that probably didn’t follow guidelines. Is there anything I can do?

More context: I started working on June 16. I’m not due to get my first paycheck until July 15. That’s a month to get a paycheck, which I think is ridiculous. The reason it’s so delayed: On my first day, I went in for two hours to do some online orientation. The manager, who I think was meant to authenticate my I9 and passport, just left and didn’t say anything. Between then and my first shift, he broke his hip and was out for two weeks. For two weeks, nobody was able to get me fully into the system. My I9 was not authenticated. I wasn’t even able to sign into the registers. I started working on June 16. I’m not due to get my first paycheck until July 15. That’s a month to get a paycheck, which I think is ridiculous.

The reason it’s so delayed:

On my first day, I went in for two hours to do some online orientation.

Luckily they kept track of my hours, so it’s fine on that end. It just feels messed up that they didn’t do my I9 or passport authentication until like 2 weeks in and that the delay in receiving the paycheck is completely their fault.

I called HR, but they were useless and said they wouldn’t really be able to get it to me sooner than July 15.

I just feel like some sort of violation occurred here.
