So I work with an big start-up and the work load has been overwhelming. It's been more than 1.5 yrs and every 3-4 months, they add something new to my scope. I'm a post-graduate with experience in Strategy and Planning. There's no work-life balance, no fixed working hours and I have been working weekends for as long as i remember.
2 months back my boss “promised” me that I'm gonna be up for a promotion. A month-back there were mass layoffs in the company, and now when I bring this topic up; he bluntly says you're lucky you're not laid off. This is so frustrating, i can't leave the job too as there aren't similar roles available in the market atm. Sorry for venting out.
