Advice: How to motivate

I am not an employer. I am posting this to anti work because this Reddit convinced me I was worth more, and got me to get a job with a company I love that pays me what I am worth. So here is my issue, for a job that is basically data entry people are expected to do 10 an hour. (This is a very reasonable number, and I've trained people who hit this number easy after 1 week.) We are currently work from home. Some people on our team their production has sank till they are only doing 2 per day. Much of this is due to work life balance issues (ie distracted by kids, helping their birds run a business or of their house, etc). So I ask you Antiwork, how do I fix this? I am posting this to anti work because this Reddit convinced me I was worth more, and got me to get a job with a company I love that pays me what I am worth.

So here is my issue, for a job that is basically data entry people are expected to do 10 an hour. (This is a very reasonable number, and I've trained people who hit this number easy after 1 week.) We are currently work from home. Some people on our team their production has sank till they are only doing 2 per day. Much of this is due to work life balance issues (ie distracted by kids, helping their birds run a business or of their house, etc).

So I ask you Antiwork, how do I fix this? We have gently reminded some of they take FMLA our company pays 100% off salary, but they insist they will get their numbers up, but nothing changes. Right now we are looking to have our department go hybrid, which NOBODY wants… including management. But we can't think of any way else to find out what's causing production issues.

We are trying so hard to work with these people to motivate them. We don't want to let them go, so they haven't even been put on any warning, and we (mgmt) are working nights and weekends so the departments numbers look the same (hourly staff is NOT being asked to cover this) so they can get it together.

How do we fix this? I don't want to let people go because they have problem at home that make work life balance hard, but at the same time, they are paid to do a job they aren't doing and haven't been doing for months. One has a production total of 4 for a quarter.

I want to make work a better place, that allows work life balance, but there is only so much we can do before those above us notice. Right now we are asking those struggling to come in occasionally so we can see if there is anything we can help them with to make better use of their time.

I am open to any advice. I want us to be a place people want to work. The pay is good for the area (2-3x what most places pay for this work), it's a good place to work, raises are fair and match cost of living, benefits are pretty good, those who want to work ot can- those who don't, don't have to, no set hours as long as they work 8 per day, and they work from home. I thought we were on the right path. Are we doing something wrong I'm not seeing.

The work is basically copy and paste from email into the system. You have to free hand type maybe 5 words, and you are updating maybe 10 fields only with copy paste. No research or anything needed. The emails the info comes in on is a form that won't send if data is missing (I've never seen one with missing data).

I apologize if I'm posting this to the wrong place, but I want to help be the change people are asking for on here, so I figured who better to ask. I don't want other managers being like for them, I want regular employees voice to be heard.
