I was looking for one since May, and have finally found one that decided to hire me. I could have gone back to being a lifeguard at a place I didn't really like, but I decided to work somewhere closer. I wanted to find a job this summer since I needed something to do, because sitting alone at home gets exhausting for me. I have school friends, but I do not live very close to them, and the only way I can get to them is by car (I also don't have a license yet). This job is the only thing I have that gets me to do something. I haven't hung out with friends outside of school, since I think I would be bothering them if I asked if they wanted to do something together. My summers have also been pretty small scale. Growing up, my family hasn't had a lot money, so we don't really go anywhere that far. Hell, I've never been on a plane before. With my other siblings not living with us anymore, I can't really do anything with them. So I'm stuck at home by myself, alone, and not doing anything. I know the whole goal of this sub is to stand up for worker's rights, and quitting your job, but this opportunity might be the best option for me to spend my summer. I hope all of you can understand.
