Workplace charges exorbitant amounts for CBD products

I felt the need to vent because my workplace is ridiculous. I live in Oregon where the cannabis market is booming, a new dispensary pops up every day, and I thought working at a CBD chain would be awesome. Wrong was I, as their products are painfully expensive, to the degree that no normal person could ever afford them. One 9000mg tincture in a wee ounce bottle costs a whopping $419 (used to be $420, as if lowering the price by a dollar would make people buy), and the 6000mg is in the $200+ range. Their excuse for those prices is that they go through trials and tests to ensure efficacy, and all the products are “medical grade”. Other products such as the pain salves are $169 (after a price hike), the pain spray and roll-ons are $99 (also after a price hike), you get the picture. Even the cheaper…

Even the cheaper items are asking for too much, last week an itty bitty chocolate bar that was $12 is now $19, the larger bars went from $24 to $36, and the CBD coffee went from $30 to $59. They said it's because their other store locations have been making sales (in states where cannabis isn't legal), and no shit, of course they're getting sales in places where CBD isn't accessible, but here you can buy affordable CBD at any dispo for a fraction of the price. That's sure as shit not helping business as we get zero customers, and when anyone comes they immediately bounce after I mention the prices (understandably so, I would too given I was born into poverty). I'm sure they've heard me talking shit through the fucking cameras they watch 24/7 (which creeps me the fuck out, I mean I get it but it feels unsettling), and honestly I don't care at this point, I'm just waiting for them to fire me. Why the hell would they pervert a medicinal substance like CBD by charging such disgusting amounts of money? Something people should have ease of access to to manage pain? These capitalistic owners don't understand the struggle apparently and it makes me sick, all they seem to really care about is money. Thanks for listening to my rant, whoever read this far.
