I work for a small family owned beer distributor. I mostly stock the floor and the cooler. Recently they finished a renovation that all but double the sale floor. So on a normal day two people work the register and lottery while two people stock. Just two weeks ago we lost a coworker who worked here for about 3 years and was a great stocker. Instead of replacing him with another person to stock the floor they hired a woman to work register. This annoys the hell out of me because now I’m expected to stock the entire store by myself while three people stand at the register. Ironically the store only has two registers so at least one of the three people literally does nothing. I have no idea why the owners though this was a good idea. Now every time I’ve bring up that I need help now and can’t keep up with the store alone they brush it off and never try to find a solution to fix the problem.
